What we do . . .
A traditional style of Ju-Jitsu that can trace its lineage back to Tsustumi Yama Shironorakami Hozan (Japan, 1658). The school, Kiai Ju-Jitsu Kan, is the product of the late Sensei Graham Dunn (5th Dan) and follows a syllabus that has developed techniques geared around compounding knowledge as you progress, whilst not relying on strength or fitness.
This makes Kiai Ju-Jitsu Kan the perfect family discipline, catering for men and women of all ages and fitness levels.
With a literal translation as “the gentle art” or “the art of suppleness”, Ju-Jitsu specialises in self-defence techniques against both armed and unarmed assailants.
Promoting the respect of one’s training partners right from entry level (8 years) to the most senior of our students (70+ years), Kiai Ju-Jitsu Kan is perfect for whole mind and body fitness, personal control, and ensuring confidence through competency.
Following a substantial syllabus, students are able to learn at a self-governed pace, allowing for them to learn not only personal discipline, but also a deep understanding of the techniques being taught.
With a combined martial arts knowledge base of over 100 years, Instructors Bruce, Anthony, Theo and Tim welcome you to come and take part in a free introductory lesson.
