Seacliff Recreation Centre

Seacliff Community Recreation Association is an incorporated body locally known as the Seacliff Recreation Centre. The land and buildings are owned by the City of Holdfast Bay with whom we have an ongoing lease agreement.

The centre has a Board of Management who meets once a month and are responsible for all service charges, financial responsibility relating to the centre and its sporting groups, the maintenance of the buildings and all decisions concerning the centre’s management.

We have a Constitution (2023) and a number of policies including Member Group Rules, Code of Conduct and a Child Safe Policy. All coaches, leaders and any person involved with children at our centre are required to undertake a Working with Children Check as required under the SA Governments legislated Child Safe Environment Policy.

We provide active sporting activities in Calisthenics, Gymnastics, Aerobic Gymnastics, Judo, Kindergym and Ju-Jitsu throughout the year and all are long term users of the centre.

Fees differ and are set by each group dependent on the hours at the centre.

Kindergym group activities are held in the three ground floor halls during the day with ages ranging from six months to five years.

Calisthenics use all four halls on Thursday evenings, arrange extra training as required, ages range from three years to adults and compete in Calisthenics SA Association competitions during the year.

Gymnastics sessions are held in two ground floor halls during the evening and Saturday mornings. General gymnastics sessions are held on Tuesday evenings with competitive gymnasts training up to four times a week dependent on experience. Ages range from 5 years to young adults.

Aerobic Gymnastics sessions are held across all three ground halls during the evenings, and all day Saturdays. Our pre-competition recreational session train on Fridays, and our competition gymnasts currently train up to 4 days a week. Ages range from 4 years to young adults.

Judo and Ju-Jitsu use our upper level hall which is set up for Martial Arts activities and train evenings and Saturday mornings. Judo accepts members from six years of age to adults and competes throughout the year.
