Our 81st Annual General Meeting was held on Friday the 28th November 2025.

Many group members attended, as well as Annette Bradshaw Councilor Seacliff Ward Holdfast Bay and Louise Miller-Frost MP and some of our centre Life members too – it was so lovely to see you all!

We presented Sheriden Milam & Kara Barabas with their life membership at the centre.

Sheriden Milam

Sheriden joined Seacliff Calisthenics in 2001 and has been a dedicated Coach and valued Volunteer for 25 years. Starting with our Senior Team, she has led multiple groups over the years—including Seniors, Intermediates and Juniors—achieving numerous aggregate wins along the way.

Sheriden has been deeply involved in every part of club life: coaching, mentoring, backstage support, social media, concert MC duties, and even rallying a winning “Men of Royalty” team in 2006. Her home has always been open for competition days, and her whole family has become part of the Seacliff community, with both daughters now members and her husband a long-time volunteer.

A Life Member of the calisthenics club since 2015, Sheriden continues to contribute tirelessly both at Seacliff and within the wider SCRA community. In her 25th year, we proudly nominate her for SCRA Life Membership in recognition of her exceptional commitment and service.

Kara Barabas

Kara Barabas was nominated for Life Membership in recognition of her remarkable 20 years of service to Seacliff Gymnastics. Starting as an athlete in 2005, she progressed through the levels before becoming an accredited GFA coach, later expanding into Competitive coaching and earning her accreditation as an Advanced Level WAG Judge.

Kara has coached and mentored athletes to State and National levels, and even served as Team Manager for the South Australian State Team, proudly supporting SA’s top WAG gymnasts. Her expertise and leadership continue to raise Seacliff’s profile within the sport.

Across two decades, Kara has contributed as an athlete, Head Coach, judge, committee member, mentor and event organiser. She has been a steady, positive influence—especially during the pandemic, when she led online training to keep athletes connected and motivated.

Today, Kara coaches Seacliff’s highest-level athletes and remains a respected role model whose passion, professionalism and commitment have shaped countless gymnasts. Her dedication makes her an outstanding and deserving nominee for SCRA Life Membership.
