Codes of Conduct Policy
DO
Treat everyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity and honesty
(includes all volunteers, children, parents and guardians)
Be a positive role model to all children and members in all your conduct with them
Respect the rights and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background, race or religion
Set clear boundaries about appropriate behaviour between yourself and all children
Ensure that any physical contact with a young person is transparent, appropriate and necessary for the athlete’s skill development
Adhere to the Seacliff Community Recreation Association Incorporated Child Safe Policy and Guidelines
Raise any concerns or problems with a SCRA Board of Management member or the delegated Child Safe Officer as soon as possible (contacts on Notice Board)
Record and act on any complaints or abuse
DO NOT
Engage in any rough physical games
Develop any “special” relationships with children that could be seen as favouritism or preferential treatment
Become involved with things of a personal nature that a child can do for themselves
