Seacliff Recreation Centre History Book – 1944 – 2020
At our 2020 AGM held in February 2021 we launched our first publication of the Seacliff Recreation Centre History Book 1944 – 2020
It is not intended to be a weighty presentation of historical facts, figures and incidents but instead a collection of photos, some documents and many memories of the Life Members of the Seacliff Recreation Centre.
During our Life Member afternoon teas, where coffee and tea flowed and cakes and sandwiches were enjoyed, old friends and acquaintances joined together recalling events and remembering stories in the past. A common theme was occurring of friendships, company and family within our centre.
Everything that was documented, newspaper clippings, badges, photos provided, was then put together by Flutterflies Design and printed here in South Australia. A beautiful A4 book, bound with a gloss laminated front cover, full colour throughout, with over 80 pages of brief history of the Centre. Together with anecdotes, memories and photographs from the past, is intended to be a sketch for all present and previous members, an outline of the Seacliff Recreation Centre.
