The 77th Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 26th November 2021, with appropriate COVID guidelines in place throughout the evening. Everyone checking in, using our hand sanitiser units, wearing masks and eating and drinking whilst sitting down. Seacliff Calisthenics provided the food and drink and it was also appropriately provided as per guidelines being served by Seacliff Calisthenics volunteers.

Also in attendance was David Speirs MP, Annette Bradshaw City of Holdfast Bay Seacliff Ward Councilor and some of our centre Life members too. It was great to see you all.

Megan Simpson from Seacliff Calisthenics received a Premiers Certificate of Recognition for outstanding volunteer service.

Megan has given nearly 36 years of continuous service to Seacliff Calisthenics. She has been successfully coaching for over 20 years and has been a member on the board of management since 2014 and is also a life member.

Megan is a vital part of our centre and so deserving of this award, we’re all so proud of you and all that you do.

Beverley Manns our centre President received the South Australian Volunteer Certificate of Appreciation. Beverley has been instrumental in keeping our Centre COVID safe and navigating the ever changing guidelines and requirements.  Her passion and enthusiasm, her time commitment and vision for making our Centre thrive cannot be understated.

Beverley has an ability to bring all of our Member Groups together and get things done, resulting in a Centre that is exceptionally well used and valued by the local community, providing numerous options to families to be active, connect and thrive.

Life Member was given to Kathy Wilson – Seacliff Calisthenics. She first joined the club in 2003 and for many years was always willing to volunteer for any activities and events. Kathy and her husband Rob have hosted quiz nights, organised end of year concert BBQs and many Bunnings BBQs, volunteered back stage at concerts and still does. She joined the comittee in 2005 and later became Secretary in 2007.

We also handed out 10 year certificates to Laura Morden, Bek Fletcher and Tim Wright from Seacliff Gymnastics and Ella Cox, Kate Ferguson, Brianna Wuest and Lucy Mullarvey from Seacliff Calisthenics. Four 20 year certificates to Melissa Kari and Jason Kari from Seacliff Judo and Shannon Gaffney and Michelle Simpson from Seacliff Calisthenics. One 40 year certificate to Sue Edward from Seacliff Calisthenics.

Congratulations to you all – so deserving – thank you for all that you do for the centre and your groups – you are amazing!
